Midwinter Naturist Festival: Feb 15-20, 2007
Looking for a reason to head south for a while in the dead of winter? Mark your calendar. The Midwinter Naturist Festival will take place February 15-20, 2007, at Sunsport Gardens Family Naturist Resort near Loxahatchee, Florida.
This is an annual event that continues growing, both in size and in scope. In addition to purely naturist topics, the Festival offers workshops and activities that explore aspects of the human experience that may be of interest to those who enjoy naturism.
Naturist Gatherings are put on by The Naturist Society (TNS), with close supervision and staging by the TNS staff. Naturist Festivals, on the other hand, are locally produced events. Festivals receive support and guidance from The Naturist Society, but TNS does not attempt to exercise the same close control over content and format that you'll see at a Naturist Gathering.
As a result, some of the wide ranging topics offered for discussion at Festivals may appear to be provocative, or even controversial, to "mainstream" naturists. Nevertheless, issues are presented in an overall context of body acceptance. Each topic deserves to be examined - and accepted or rejected - on its own merit.
But can you go to the Midwinter Naturist Festival without being called upon to make such judgments? Absolutely! Many of the scheduled events are just for fun. And if you're just not interested in schedules, you can spend your time with friends at the pool, at the hot tub, or involved in numerous other social activities. Sunsport is a family place. Bring the kids; there's plenty for them to do, too!
As it always does at Gatherings, the Naturist Action Committee will be presenting numerous informative workshops throughout the Midwinter Festival. The Midwinter Naturist Festival is a significant fund raising event for NAC.
Registration is available online. See you there!
