Texas Teacher Suspended for Topfree Photos
Tamara Hoover, a 29-year old high school art teacher in Austin, Texas, has been suspended from her job for topfree pictures of her that were posted on the web by her girlfriend. Hoover defends the images as art. The school district is seeking Hoover's dismissal, saying that it doesn't wish to limit freedom of expression, but teachers should be held to higher standards.
The story has made international headlines. The next issue of Nude & Natural magazine examines the situation from a naturist perspective.

I think before they start asking high school teachers and the rest of us to adhere to a higher standard (whatever that means) that our own elected officials should clean house.
Does Austin have elected school district officials? Vote 'em OUT!
An art teacher who gets sacked for being "in" the art she creates - shows that district officials probably have the wrong ideas and perspective on art. I wonder if they let teachers mention/show that the nude human form has been depicted in art for millennia?
